The Opportunity
As a Senior Prompt Engineer at Nurix, you'll lead how our AI agents think, respond, and evolve. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that merges system-level prompt architecture, evaluation design, context engineering, and conversation flow optimization. You’ll work closely with Machine Learning, Engineering, and Product teams to design experiences that are robust, measurable, and deeply human.
Your Impact
You’ll be the key architect of Nurix’s prompting systems—from designing scalable prompt templates and retrieval interfaces to ensuring every conversation is aligned with client goals and user intent. You’ll set standards, build evaluation frameworks, and continuously refine how our models learn and interact.
Key Responsibilities
Prompt System & Context Engineering
- Design modular system/developer/user prompt architectures that scale across use cases.
- Build and manage context pipelines (RAG) that ensure relevant, high-quality knowledge injection.
Evaluations, Safety & Quality
- Develop evaluation suites to measure prompt quality, safety, and performance.
- Implement launch-blocking tests and red-teaming workflows to ensure robustness.
Conversation Flow Design
- Design intuitive, goal-oriented conversation flows tailored to each client’s needs.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their requirements and propose optimized conversation flow designs.
- Optimize flows through iterative A/B testing, leveraging data to improve clarity, efficiency, and tone.
- Ensure conversations balance user satisfaction with business objectives.
Collaboration, Mentorship & Enablement
- Partner with Product, ML engineers, and software engineers to integrate prompting into production systems.
- Collaborate closely with client teams to translate requirements into effective prompt and flow strategies.
- Mentor and support junior prompt engineers, helping them unblock challenges and grow their skills.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases and share insights through documentation or public writing.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Have
- 4+ years of experience in product, machine learning, or a related field.
- 1+ year of hands-on prompting experience with LLMs in production environments.
- Strong understanding of how large language models function and how to guide them effectively.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and context engineering.
- Proven experience designing and running large-scale A/B experiments.
- A passion for research, continuous learning, and sharing knowledge through writing.
