Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer to join our growing team. As a Security Engineer at Nurix, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our AI Agent platform, infrastructure, and data. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities:
Security Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Security Implementation: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
Incident Response: Develop and execute incident response plans, investigate security breaches, and coordinate remediation efforts.
Security Awareness: Conduct security awareness training and promote best practices among employees.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
Cloud Security: Secure cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), implementing appropriate security controls and configurations.
Network Security: Monitor network traffic, analyze security logs, and implement network security protocols.
Data Security: Protect sensitive data through encryption, access controls, and data loss prevention measures.
Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in applications, systems, and infrastructure.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Skills:
Security Concepts: Strong understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
Security Tools: Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM.
Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Network Security: Understanding of network protocols, network security architectures, and network monitoring tools.
Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and their security configurations.
Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and security tasks.
Incident Response: Experience with incident handling, investigation, and remediation.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
4-8 years of proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a related role.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+) are a plus.
